At the start of my senior year, I got an opportunity to expand on my technical knowledge during an internship at YogiFi, Smart Yoga Mats. The company hired me to investigate the use of mobile cameras to identify approaches to detect the correctness of yoga poses using computer vision.

This internship allowed me to gain rich insights into the world of AI/ML. With investigations on 3D depth estimation and body-segmentation, I was able to identify possible methods that combined the constraints of human anatomy and the geometrical effect of foreshortening by which I was able to eliminate the need for depth estimation. Presently, I am working on the next phase of the internship, where I will write prototype code to find out the complexity of the deep learning networks and verify the suitability of running it on a mobile platform.
